SENIOR COMMUNITY MANAGER
1939 Games is a gaming studio based in Iceland, staffed with veterans of the game industry, and has released a digital collectible card game called KARDS.
1939 Games is looking for a senior community manager to engage and inform our community, manage the game’s competitive structure and be the community representative within our organization.

Here is what you will be doing with us:
Manage the competitive structure and operations of the competitive structure.
Design and manage community development projects.
Manage communications and communication plans, and strive for continuous improvement.
Inform and engage our players through social media channels, streams, email, and other venues.
Build relationships with community partners such as fan sites, influencers, and volunteers.
Provide meaningful feedback to game teams on the community’s sentiment, concerns, and suggestions.
Act as the public-facing representative of 1939 Games and communicate on behalf of the brand across multiple channels.
Qualifications:
A clear communicator: You can effectively communicate in any medium: live streams, presentations, emails, conference calls, etc.; you’re able to convert a large amount of information and data into a clear message; you’re comfortable presenting to large audiences and building reports.
An avid learner: You are always eager to learn new things. You are able to not only keep up with the new trends, but also possess the skill sets to apply the lessons learned.
Creative storyteller: you have the skill and the passion to craft compelling, authentic, and fresh narratives for our audiences. You build up players into stars, you know when and how to inform and entertain, and you know how to captivate your audience.
English speaker: You are fluent in written and spoken English communication.
Content creation experience is a strong plus.
Having experience in managing podcasts or streaming content is a strong plus.
All applications must be in English and include a portfolio.
